Chamomile

Matricaria chamomilla, also known as German chamomile, a member of the Asteraceae family, is perhaps the most widely used herbal tea in the world along with, perhaps, peppermint. Originally from Western Europe and North Africa, it is now grown throughout the world. Its sweet taste, pleasant aroma, and gentle, yet pervasive, actions make it the poster child for grassroots herbalism. Its effects are most pronounced at the interface of the nervous and digestive systems, where its calming effects soothe the body, and enhance digestion.
